Project portfolio

Simulation-Based Training Concept

The project develops integrated training concepts that meet the Royal Danish Navy’s need to build critical skills related to flight deck director operations on Danish naval vessels. One of the objectives is to reduce the need for resource-intensive live training and to create more flexible frameworks for on-site training and education in a range of basic skills.

The project has been initiated and is led by FORCE Technology, with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) participating as partners.

Capable and Adaptable Maritime Solutions (CAMS)

The project establishes the foundation for the development of state-of-the-art naval vessels in Denmark based on a shared system architecture across key industrial companies. Three aspects are critical: adaptability to new technologies, increased availability, and reduced costs and delivery time. Initially, the project documents these aspects and will subsequently contribute to forming the basis for a new and profitable industry in Denmark.

The project consortium consists of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Aalborg University (AAU), Odense Maritime Solutions (OMT), SH Defence, Terma, and CubedIn. The project is still seeking funding.

Development of Medium-Sized Autonomous Vessels

The project aims to develop a vessel capable of laying mines in a designated area, monitoring/patrolling in the vicinity of the minefield, and ultimately safely guiding other units through minefields (lead-through operations). The project has been proposed by OSK Design and is currently in a mobilization phase, during which consortium partners are being assembled and external funding is being sought.

Maritime Analytical Preparedness against Hybrid Threats (MAHT)

The project aims to establish a research-based analytical preparedness capability that systematically maps the legal, organizational, technological, and strategic room for manoeuvre of shipping companies and the Danish Armed Forces when new hybrid threats emerge.

The leading partners behind the project are the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and Aalborg University (AAU). Responses to external funding applications are currently pending.
